About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

  • To grow as a leading Sleep and Breathing Disorders Center in the region by providing a broad-based, efficient, affordable, and concerned care.
  • To maintain patient autonomy, reduce repeated hospital visits, and to empower patients and their families to lead a better quality of life.

Our Sleep and Breathing Disorders Center offers a comprehensive approach to evaluate and manage all forms of sleep and breathing disorders. It encompasses the management of sleep disorders and breathing difficulties, snoring, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm disorders and parasomnias. In the USA alone, up to 70 million people suffer from sleep problems, and roughly 40 million have chronic sleep disorders. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine reports that most people affected aren't aware that they have a sleep disorder and many fail to seek treatment. A large proportion of patients have associated serious lung and heart diseases, obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, all of which can be better controlled by treating sleep ailments. Associated fatigue, insomnia, and serious accidents are a concern for long term morbidity and mortality. As a result, there is increased health care cost and a tremendous economic burden.

OBJECTIVES

Our broad-based approach ensures that each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plan to address his or her particular need. Our management strategies take into consideration the severity of symptoms, the patient's lifestyle, associated morbid conditions such as COPD, asthma, heart failure, and the specific goals of therapy. Our philosophy is to provide long-term, cost efficient care, which is especially important for patients with combined sleep and breathing disorders. The center will assess individuals with various sleep disorders and breathing difficulties. We will evaluate each patient individually and carry out a thorough analysis of underlying problems using supportive studies such as pulmonary function testing and chest x-ray, as well as CT scanning of the lungs, if necessary. Regular follow-up, education, and compliance will be strongly emphasized. We will have special emphasis on treatment of insomnia and CPAP compliance for sleep apnea with well proven strategy involving cognitive therapy. With a highly qualified and experienced staff, we aim to provide speedy, efficient care for all forms of sleep and breathing disorders in a comfortable setting.
