Do you have questions about your child’s sleep? Dr. Aydinoz and Julie with Birmingham Mom Collective gathered at Luna Sleep Center to discuss pediatric sleep therapy. Dr. Aydinoz explained what age children are ideal for sleep therapy, the types of therapy for different pediatric sleep problems, medication to help with sleeping, and all about Luna Sleep Center.
The sleep study room is for studying children’s sleep habits, but they can have company present in the room. To make the study more comfortable, kids and their parents can find books, games, a television, a bathroom (including a shower), and a cozy atmosphere. A camera records the sleep study so that a doctor can look at the child’s sleeping patterns and habits.
Dr. Aydinoz describes the different sleep problems he sees in children at the sleep center. Some children have mood, memory, ADHD, or learning problems that come from their sleeping problems.
